Tyler Whiting, DMD
Dr. Tyler Whiting is a Pediatric Dentist who was born and raised in the White Mountains of northeastern Arizona into a large family. He has been around children his entire life, and takes special pride in helping children feel at ease coming to the dentist, inspiring them to improve their oral hygiene at home and receive dental treatment happily and comfortably. As a father himself, Dr. Whiting understands the trust required to allow him to provide for your child’s oral health care needs, and he takes this joyful responsibility seriously.
After Dr. Tyler completed his undergraduate degree at ASU, he finished dental school in Portland, OR. His family then moved to Yakima WA, where he completed his residency training in Pediatric Dentistry and received extensive training in cutting-edge practices including the use of silver diamine fluoride (see https://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/12/health/silver- diamine-fluoride-dentist-cavities.html for more information) and all-white zirconia crowns.
Dr. Whiting now lives in Eugene with his wife and four sons. They enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, swimming, and cycling. They all love good food, good books and movies. One fun fact about Dr. Whiting is that he has a collection of over 40 pairs of funky socks including sharks, saguaros, pizza, pineapples, and flying tacos!
Dr. Whiting is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Western Society of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association (ADA).
