Dr. Jimmy Lapnawan Jr., DMD
Dr. Jimmy Lapnawan Jr is a Board-certified pediatric dentist. He was born in the Philippines and moved to the US, settling in Florida for a majority of his life. He graduated from the University of Florida with his Bachelor’s degree, Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), and certificate in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Jimmy has a true passion for treating children and working with families to develop a foundation for a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.
When he is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife Christina and their Husky-mix fur-baby Lea, watching movies and sports (rooting for his alma mater UF Gators), and exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
He is excited to be a part of the Springfield Kids Dentist team and looks forward to providing a fun dental atmosphere where children learn how to protect their little teeth and create smiles that last a lifetime. He cannot wait to meet you and your family.
Dr. David Rutgard, DMD
Originally from San Diego, California, Dr. David Rutgard earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from San Diego State University before completing his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Loma Linda University. Inspired by his father’s lifelong commitment to medical missionary work around the world, Dr. Rutgard is deeply passionate about giving back. Giving back to the less fortunate is a core belief for Dr. Rutgard and as often as he can he travels with different non-profit organizations to provide free dental care to underserved communities. Another top priority for Dr. Rutgard is staying current in advancements in the field of dentistry.
Dedicated to clinical excellence, Dr. Rutgard prioritizes staying up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. His professional philosophy is simple yet powerful: everyone deserves to smile with confidence, speak with dignity, and eat with enjoyment. He is proud and honored to be a part of the Eugene and Springfield Kids’ Dentist teams.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Rutgard enjoys spending time with his family and his energetic Australian Border Collie. A true outdoor enthusiast, he loves exploring the coast—whether surfing frigid waves or enjoying a peaceful beach walk. He’s also an avid cook who’s always experimenting with new recipes. As a newcomer to the Pacific Northwest, he’s eager to discover local hiking trails, camping spots, fishing holes, and any outdoor adventures the region has to offer.
